Among the hills that are home to the Butterfly Cave, the Primitivo and Montepulciano vines have their roots in breccious soil, creating a deep, enveloping red. Vinified without destemming and aged in steel and concrete, production is limited to 1,000 numbered bottles

Along the Costa dei Trabocchi, between the towns of Rocca San Giovanni, San Vito Chietino and Lanciano, the vines of Fattoria Italiana Martelli have their roots in soil which range from gravelly to sandy, caressed by the breeze from the Adriatic Sea.

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, fermented in stainless steel and aged in concrete tanks, has an intense dark red colour with violet hues; on the nose, there are hints of plum jam, blackberries and black cherries, whilst on the palate it stands out for its fullness and long finish.

The Pecorino IGT Terre d’Abruzzo, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in concrete tanks, with a period in wood in vintages that call for it, is straw-yellow in colour; on the nose, white flowers and peach intertwine with citrus and tropical notes, whilst on the palate, the bold, mineral flavour reflects the yeasts that produced it.

The name of this wine is a tribute to the owner, a noble, unmarried lady who loved good wine and good company and owned land where our great-grandparents were sharecroppers.
In recent years, our family has taken over these vineyards that produce grapes of extraordinary quality, thanks to the skeleton-rich soil that characterizes them.

This wine has an intense and bright ruby red color. On the nose, it releases elegant aromas of ripe red fruit, such as blueberry and raspberry, enriched with delicate floral notes of pink. In the mouth, it offers a pleasant and persistent flavor, characterized by fruity hints of red berries and black cherries, a full and rounded taste, balanced by good acidity and a long and satisfying finish.

The wine has a delicate straw yellow colour embellished with subtle greenish reflections. On the nose it releases very intense aromas, where pleasant notes of white fruit and citrus stand out, accompanied by fascinating sensations of exotic fruit. When tasted, it stands out for its good acidity and minerality, characteristics that define its taste profile.

To represent their ancient origins, the first Italian Martelli farm wine label was and is represented by the Imbuto, a symbolic tool used in the cellars of the past to fill or transfer wine.
